  1. We hiked the Inca Trail last year and it was a life changing experience. Being from Colorado and hiking 14ers, we were amazed at the lush foliage at such high altitudes in the Andes. Beautiful photo of the blooming flower.

    1. It’s beautiful, isn’t it? I hiked to Machu Picchu many years ago and feel lucky we had good weather aside from smoke from a fire. We only had one day there due to vacation restrictions. It deserves two at least! I’m in Colorado too. Can’t hike 14ers anymore. I get altitude sickness.

      1. So beautiful! We lucked out with the weather too. It didn’t rain once. That’s too bad you get altitude sickness, but the good news is that we have a million gorgeous hikes at lower altitudes.
