VANLife: Camper Conversion Weeks 10-11

Well, better late than never! I’m finally getting around to writing about the final two weeks of VANgo’s conversion the pickup day. Wanderful Wheels delivered right on time!

Week 10

In Week 10 Wanderful Wheels installed the lights and the outlets throughout the van. In the galley, the added the closet, and the safe cabinet. Finally, in the garage they installed the on demand hot water heater and the battery. Additionally, the pullout trays for the garage are ready to be installed as well as butcher block shelves in the corner over the bed.

It’s a happy day in my world. Look at the progress Wanderful Wheels has made on VANgo in the last two weeks! They added the solar, rough electrical, and the woodwork on the walls and doors. Only one more month to go, and I will be flying to Durango to pick up this beauty.

Vanlife: Camper Conversion Weeks 1-2

It has been a month since I left VANgo with Wanderful Wheels for my camper van conversion. I dropped it off sooner than my slotted arrival time on the contract. But I wanted to take advantage of the nice window of weather in Colorado. Additionally, I had tentative travel plans to go to Hawaii, that I ultimately cancelled.

Anyway, Wanderful Wheels nicely picked up VANgo at the Durango Airport just a few weeks before the holidays. With the holidays, there was a slight delay to the start the camper conversion, but we added extra time for the build based on contending with the holiday season.
